Hummer Project

In my third term within my first year at London College of Fashion our project was to design a range of footwear for a car brand, either designing for a client of the brand or creating a brand collaboration. In teams we were each given a car brand to research, my group was given the car brand 'Hummer'. I chose to create a shoe using the three words the team chose that we thought best described hummer which were power, terrain and excessive. I collaborated my shoe with inspiration from the artist MP Gautheron's work. I created a black leather derby style shoe which featured broguing and gimping, a round heel hand painted with amethyst crystal embellishment and steel car grill shaped eyelets for the black laces.
